In folk medicine, it used to treat various ailments such malaria, osteomyelitis, gastrointestinal ailments. The anti-inflammatory potential helioscopia extracts on LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages was investigated this work. Results: ethanol extract found markedly inhibit pro-inflammatory cytokines (IL-6 TNFα) production compared aqueous treated cells. Moreover, downregulated nitric oxide levels. Finally, study, we have shown that exerts a potent pharmacological effect reducing inflammatory response macrophages. Conclusion: results experiment revealed study characteristics, with ethanolic having most. had strongest impact terms greatest reduction proinflammatory indicators including IL-6, TNF-, NO. Report: physicochemical and phytochemical analysis of Euphorbia helioscopia (L.).

The present study aimed to standardize the crude drug from "Euphorbia helioscopia" by doing qualitative and quantitative analysis of different pulverized plant parts and extracts. Physicochemical analysis (determination of moisture contents, total ash, water insoluble ash, sulphated ash, acid insoluble ash, and water and alcohol extractives) was done on powdered raw materials (stem and leaves)....

Euphorbia helioscopia Inhibits the LPS-Induced Pro-Inflammatory Response in RAW 264.7 Cells via the NF-κB and MAPK Pathway

Previous studies have characterized the total polyphenolic contents, antioxidant activity, tyrosinase, elastase, and NO production of halophytes. Halophytes are distributed among many countries; however, it has not been properly utilized. In this study, we investigated the inhibitory effect of halophyte Euphorbia helioscopia (E.H.) on the LPS-induced inflammatory response in RAW 264.7 macrophag...

Biotransformed Citrus Residue Extracts Act as an Anti-inflammatory in Co-culture of Adipocytes and Macrophages

In obesity, more macrophage infiltrate on adipose tissue, increasing pro-inflammatory cytokines secretion, contributing to development of chronic non-communicable diseases. Thus, reduction in cytokines would be beneficial. We evaluated the effect of citrus residue extracts (Biotransformed, In Natura, Autoclaved) on TNF-α, IL-6 and adiponectin secretion in 3T3-L1 and RAW264.7 co-culture. 3T3-L1 ...
